Adjunct Instructor of Communication for faculty pool; candidates may be called as department needs arise.

Master's degree in Communication or a related field with 18 hours of graduate work in

communication from an accredited institution is required.

Preferred

Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduates of all abilities. College teaching experience.

Excellent communication skills.

Experience using innovative instructional techniques and technologies including online course management systems.

Primary Responsibilities

The Natural & Behavioral Sciences Department periodically seeks qualified, part-time instructors to teach Communication courses.

Teach assigned courses in accordance with the SRSU's approved course descriptions. Incorporate appropriate teaching-learning strategies, technologies, and assessment methods for evaluation of student learning into the course.

Follow guidelines for preparing and submitting course syllabi.

Meet all scheduled classes and adhere to the academic schedule, including final exam schedules.

Adhere to professional and ethical standards of conduct.

The report contains information regarding campus safety and security including topics such as: campus law enforcement authority; crime reporting policies; campus alerts (Timely Warnings and Emergency Notifications); fire safety policies and procedures; programs to prevent dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking; the procedures the University will follow when one of these crimes is reported; and other matters of importance related to security on campus.

The report also contains information about crime statistics for the three most recent calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in On-Campus Student Housing Facilities; in Non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University or a recognized student organization; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. The report also contains fire statistics for any fires occurring in an On-Campus Student Housing Facility during the three most recent calendar years.
