Salary $2,550 - $3,200 as determined by qualifications and enrollments

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Spanish language and/or literature.
• Classroom teaching experience.

• Ph.D. in Spanish Language and/or literature with significant university teaching experience, both in-person and online.
• Experience with learning platforms such as Blackboard.

Adjunct Instructor of Spanish for faculty pool; candidates may be called as department needs arise.

• The Languages & Literature Department periodically seeks a qualified, part-time instructor to teach Spanish courses.
• Teach Spanish courses at a variety of times and locations
• Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
• Use a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
• Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

Teach undergraduate- and potentially graduate-level Spanish courses depending on qualifications and needs of department. This instruction may be asynchronous or synchronous web-based or residential on the Alpine campus.

This position is classified as Security-Sensitive and is thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094, which authorize employers to obtain and review criminal history record information for applicants.

The report also contains fire statistics for any fires occurring in an On-Campus Student Housing Facility during the three most recent calendar years.
