- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related mental health field.
- Currently licensed in Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor ( LPC ).
- Other current Texas licensure under the Behavioral Health Executive Council ( BHEC ) umbrella may be considered (e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW ).
- Two years in providing direct counseling services to individuals and groups.
- Additional CE in areas of concern relevant to higher education environments.
- Licensed Professional Counselor—Supervisor ( LPC
-S), Licensed Clinical Social Worker—Supervisor ( LCSW
-S), etc.
Job Summary: Therapeutic counseling, prevention and intervention services, promotion of mental health awareness, coordination of Accessibility Services. Responsibilities may vary from routine counseling services and related activities to crisis intervention and related counseling; mental health awareness presentations, workshops, trainings, and screenings; consultation with faculty and staff; referrals to off campus mental health providers; programming events on campus and/or in the community.
Responsible for all aspects of Accessibility Services.

Required:
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with students of diverse backgrounds, faculty, staff, and administrators. Excellent written and oral communication skills and effective public relations skills. Demonstrated leadership skills. Sensitivity, creativity, and an understanding of persons and their interaction. Preferred:
Greater skill levels in above areas. Experience in delivering direct services virtually. Knowledge of Electronic Health Records ( EHR ). Experience in teaching, personnel supervision, and management.
Physical Requirements: This position typically works in an office environment, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while using a computer. The role demands frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Visual acuity is essential for reading and interpreting data on computer screens.
