Full-Time Tax Accountant

Tax Return Preparation and Review:

Come join our team! We are seeking a part time or full time Tax Accountant (30 hours per week minimum). We offer flexible hours, competitive pay, and a great team of colleagues and clients. We pride ourselves on flexibility and facilitating a healthy work-life balance.

• Attend weekly virtual team meeting.
• Work closely with clients and our team to prepare and review annual income tax returns and other returns (e.g. 1099s, sales tax returns, property tax forms).
• Conduct tax research.
• Prepare financial statements for internal management use only (no compilations, reviews or audits).
• Assist with tax planning and monthly accounting responsibilities, especially in the off season.
• Communicate with clients. At times you will need a quiet area to talk to clients on the phone during normal business hours. Otherwise, you can work whenever you prefer.

• Bachelors of Accounting degree
• Minimum of three years tax prep (or equivalent) experience for business.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Have working knowledge of Quick Books Online and Quickbooks Desktop.
• Exhibit strong communication skills in a professional manner.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating well with colleagues.
• Able to meet strict deadlines.
• Permanent citizenship or a work visa is required.
