Location:
Onsite in Alsip, IL.
Shift: First Shift. The EMS Engineer is responsible for implementing Environmental Management Systems (EMS) under the ISO
14001 standard at the Alsip and Lithonia manufacturing sites. If you have relevant ISO 14001 experience and a passion for environmental compliance in a manufacturing environment, this role may be a fit.
- Support environmental management to ensure compliance with local regulations, the site’s environmental policy, and global requirements.
- Coordinate the site’s legal review to ensure regulatory compliance and implement the required Action Plan.
- Implement the site’s ISO 14001 certification process.
- Consolidate, track, and report environmental metrics and incidents using tools provided by the Global Team.
- Lead efforts to improve environmental metrics.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A degree in Environmental Engineering is preferred; chemical or industrial engineering is also applicable.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface with all departments and levels of the organization.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 is a plus; participation in environmental audits under ISO 14001 is a plus; knowledge of local environmental regulations is desired.
- Experience in the Food and Beverage industry.
- Prior EMS experience.
Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
