The position is based in Alsip, IL.
Starting pay is $24/hr
.

Our positions are 12 hour shifts, 5:30 am – 5:30 pm or 5:30 pm – 5:30 am. This position reports directly to the Alsip Production Supervisor.

• Monitor the filtration operation for latex products off multiple reactor lines.
• Load latex products into various containers for shipment to customers.
• Follow housekeeping and safety procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
• Unload deliveries at the warehouse dock.
• Attend daily meetings and provide routine communication on daily loading activities and production needs.
• Follow up these communications in writing, by telephone or e-mail as needed.
• Use a computer to communicate via e-mail, complete online training and other tasks as assigned.
• Work closely with the control room operator to maintain operations.
• Complete daily and weekend checklists, including daily inventory.
• Ensure workplace safety by conducting safety observations and reviews while adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
• Comply with standard procedures and work instructions to ensure productivity, quality assurance and cost effectiveness.
• Identify and communicate potential gains or improvements to the management system.
• Support the site HES (Health and Environmental Safety) policy and comply with all regulatory and internal requirements.
• Participate in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema, Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, Safe Start, etc.).
• Promote the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents.
• All other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma / GED required.
• One to three years’ warehousing or logistics experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while acting as a strong team member.
• Previous forklift or powered industrial equipment license or certification is preferred.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at significant heights.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds; both to carry and to lift overhead.
• Must be able to wear a respirator.
• Must be able to enter confined spaces.
• Must be a highly motivated, team player and able to work independently.
