Pasadena Waldorf School is seeking aGrade 1
Class Teacher to join our faculty in2026. The rising class is a joyful, active groupof students who are calling fora warm,organized and grounded teacher.

QualificationsWhile we understand that good teachers may come to us from a variety of backgrounds and trainings, Waldorf Teacher Training completed or willingness to enroll in full teacher training program is important to us.
Willingness to learn and understand the unique cultural and work environment of a Waldorf school.
Lesson/program planning and classroom management skills required.
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills required.
CPR/First Aid certification preferrable or required at hire.
Background check clearance mandatory.
Compensation and BenefitsThis is a full-time, salaried position.
Employee benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA), and a retirement plan. Tuition Remission is offered for the employees’ eligible dependents in our Pre-School-Grade 12 programs (Staff fees apply).
We support ongoing professional development in both individual and group formats throughout the school year.
The full-time teaching annual salary base is $50,000 with pay increments for training and experience.
Salaries are paid on a semi-monthly basis over a 12-month period.
Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.

The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods and bend/twist/kneel from time-to-time throughout the workday.
The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Anything over the weight limit should be completed as a two-person lift or with a mechanical lift.
PWS is made up of multiple buildings and campuses with uneven surfaces and terrain.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but at times, machines can get loud for those with sensitive hearing.
Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including heat and cold and varying degrees of daylight.
