The Human Resources Supervisor will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Makes recommendations to the Human Resources Manager; organizes and administers all activities of the Human Resources Department, including development of department goals, objectives, plans, procedures, and systems.
- Provides guidance to employees and managers in the interpretation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Recruits, hires, trains, and coaches Human Resources staff to meet established credit union and department objectives.
- Assists the Human Resources Manager in the communication of personnel policies, procedures, and benefit plans to ensure compliance and understanding.
- Coordinates and oversees credit union recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, background checks, and, under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, makes appropriate employment offers.
- Administers benefits programs, including claims resolution, change reporting, invoice approvals, annual review for cost effectiveness, and employee communications.
- Administers workers' compensation claims, staff leaves of absence, work restrictions, and return-to-work processes between employees and the credit union.
- Organizes team-building activities, wellness events, and social gatherings to foster camaraderie and belonging.
- A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school preferred
- Minimum five years Human Resources experience or completion of comparable Human Resources studies
- Minimum 2 years supervisory/management experience
- Personal computer literacy with various Microsoft Office applications, ADP and HRIS systems, and be able to utilize the Internet for research and job postings
- Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws and other laws pertaining to Human Resources/Payroll practices
