Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

Altamonte Springs company is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist will include, but not limited to the following.

-- Review, code, and process vendor invoices.

-- Verify accuracy of vendor information, invoice amounts, and proper approvals.

-- Ensure payments are made on time while maximizing available discounts.

-- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

-- Maintain organized and complete electronic records of all payable transactions.

-- Serve as a primary contact for vendor inquiries and payment status updates.

-- Set up and maintain vendor accounts in accordance with company policy and tax regulations (including W-9 management).

-- Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger.

-- Support preparation of year-end audits and provide requested documentation to auditors.

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience.

- Analytical problem solving skills.

- Collaboration/Teamwork - build relationships across departments
