This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys financial statement preparation, audit coordination, and technical accounting while building strong relationships with executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities of the Manager of Financial Reporting- Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Coordinate the external audit process and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors
- Prepare technical accounting memorandums and support complex accounting transactions
- Review financial reporting packages and ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, and executive leadership to support reporting requirements and strategic initiatives
- Research and interpret new accounting standards and assist with implementation
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, including direct supervision of a Senior Accountant
- Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and strengthen internal controls
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Active CPA required
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting experience required;
Big 4 or large regional audit experience strongly preferred - Experience preparing financial statements within a public accounting or corporate reporting environment
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and external audit processes
- Experience preparing technical accounting memorandums preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
