* Job Description:
*
* +
** Strategic Leadership & Capital Program Management*
* + Provide executive oversight of a diverse capital program, including major hospital expansions, ambulatory facility development, infrastructure upgrades, and facility modernization.
+ Collaborate with market and system executive leadership to translate clinical, operational, and strategic priorities into long-term facility plans.
+ Lead master planning, project prioritization, and multi-year capital forecasting.
+ Support the development and implementation of capital governance processes, project delivery standards, and reporting frameworks.
+
** Design & Construction Oversight*
* + Oversee all phases of project delivery-from feasibility studies and schematic design through construction, commissioning, and occupancy.
+ Ensure design excellence that supports patient-centered care, clinical efficiency, staff workflow, and regulatory compliance.
+ Establish and monitor project performance metrics (schedule, budget, safety, quality).
+ Approve design concepts, construction methodologies, and major project decisions.
+
** Financial & Risk Management*
* + Manage project budgets, financial controls, risk mitigation strategies, and cost-containment initiatives.
+ Evaluate and negotiate contracts with designers, contractors, and consultants.
+ Ensure adherence to procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
+ Maintain primary accountability for project outcomes (cost, schedule, quality) within the division, leveraging centralized delivery support functions.
+
** Team Leadership & Organizational Development*
* + Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project executives, project managers, and supporting staff members.
+ Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and transparency.
+ Foster strong partnerships with clinical, operations, finance, facilities, supply chain and AIT teams.
+
** Stakeholder Engagement*
* + Serve as primary executive liaison for capital projects with senior leadership, clinical departments, community partners, and external agencies.
+ Manage communication of project goals, progress updates, and impacts to stakeholders throughout the organization.
+ Represent the organization before permitting agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
+
** Regulatory, Sustainability & Safety*
* + Ensure all projects comply with healthcare codes and standards (e.g., Joint Commission, DMV, NFPA, FGI Guidelines, Others).
+ Support and incorporate sustainability & resiliency initiatives aligned with system Advent Health goals, including energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and targeted project specific certifications.
+ Uphold rigorous safety protocols for staff, contractors, and patients within construction zones.
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* + Future focused, foreseeing gaps and trends and influences the direction of the organization [Required]
+ Strong communication skills and leadership experience with proven track record in building relationships, working with cross-functional collaborative teams [Required]

* Education:

* + Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field [Required]
+ Master's degree in Engineering or MBA or equivalent knowledge, skills, and working experience in lieu of the master's degree [Preferred]
*
* Work Experience:
*
* + 10-15 years of extensive experience in design and construction management, delivering complex projects, including, but not limited to: planning and prioritizing capital, developing corporate standards, vendor management of service providers, and creative contract structures with project managers and contractors to drive cost, schedule and quality. [Required]

Experience with multimillion dollar projects in regional or national hospital systems or healthcare organizations with large portfolios [Preferred]
