Locum - Physician - General Medicine Houston, TX

In this role, you'll provide high-quality general medical care on a temporary basis, supporting healthcare facilities with your expertise in patient assessment and management. Your contributions will ensure patients receive timely and compassionate care, all within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Required Skills

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Valid state medical license to practice in Texas
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty
  • Proven experience in general medicine, outpatient care, or similar settings
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, including physical exams and patient interviews
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple patients efficiently while maintaining high standards of care
Nice to Have Skills
  • Prior locum experience preferred
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Knowledge of current medical guidelines and best practices
  • Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish, a plus
Preferred Education and Experience
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Minimum of 2+ years of clinical practice in general medicine or related fields
  • Experience providing care in diverse patient populations
Other Requirements
  • Active Texas medical license
  • Ability to travel locally within Houston, TX
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and confidentiality
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and administrative tasks related to your role
