POSITIONSchool Psychologist (202 contract days) - Location subject to change.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONTo assume the responsibilities for instruction, classroom management, job duties, and professional involvement according to the School Code of Illinois, Board of Education Policies, and District contractual agreements.

SUPERVISORBuilding Principal
QUALIFICATIONS- Professional Educator License (PEL) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
- Endorsement in School Psychology/School Service Personnel Certification
- Experience working in a K–12 school district (Preferred)
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Commitment to student engagement, equity, and inclusion
- Collaborative, flexible, and reflective teaching practices
- Participate in multi-disciplinary, building-based, problem solving teams.
- Assist in the identification and implementation of targeted, research-based, interventions designed to meet specific student needs.
- Assist in monitoring the integrity and fidelity of research-based interventions.
- Assist in the development of individualized behavior management plans utilizing functional behavioral analysis.
- Assist in gathering and interpreting data collected on student progress.
- When appropriate, provide standardized, individual assessment of a child’s abilities, learning styles, achievement levels, emotional and social development.
- Interpret results of psychological evaluation for parents, appropriate school personnel and other authorized agencies.
- Participate in eligibility, or child review, conferences and participate in the development and preparation of Individualized Educational plans (IEP’s) as required for each child in special education programs.
- See that a conference summary is completed and that all procedural documentation is in place.
- Provide ongoing consultation with parents and school personnel regarding student needs
- Complete case study re-evaluations as needed or mandated.
- Participate in early childhood identification screening process for at-risk children.
- Facilitate communication between parents, school personnel, and other appropriate agencies.
- Provide short-term counseling for children and/ or parents as needed.
- Participate in research, program development and evaluation as needed.
- Conduct in-service training to school personnel concerning areas of social, emotional and learning problems.
- Provide emergency counseling and support to students and staff in the event of a crisis situation.
- Complete other reasonable duties as assigned during the normal school day/ year.
