Alton Memorial Hospital has a part-time Nights Lab Associate I opportunity. Looking for a lab tech with phlebotomy experience to work in a hospital setting.

Hours and schedule - 3 nights a week Midnight - 8:00AM
Rotating weekends every other week - 10AM - 8AM

Role Purpose

Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.
• Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
