Position Overview

Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift located in Alton, Illinois. This role is open to new graduates and experienced Registered Nurses and offers a stable night‑shift schedule, strong benefits, and opportunities to grow and advance at the bedside in a collaborative, community‑based setting.

• Sign‑on bonus: up to $15,000 (eligible external candidates)
• Shift differentials for nights, weekends, and holidays
• BSN differential

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, family, or caregiver.
• Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
• Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.

• Education:
  
  Nursing Diploma / Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• License:
  Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience:

• Supervisor experience:

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience in nursing: less than 2 years.
