The BJC Health Care New Graduate Nurse position is available for all student nurses and connects new graduates to the Graduate Nurse recruitment team to help navigate the Staff Nurse application process. • Educates patients and families on illness/injury management, post-treatment home care needs, and medication administration.
• Uses critical thinking to assess and evaluate patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Develops and implements individual plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team, promoting patient- and family-centered care.
• Evaluates patient responses and adjusts the plan of care throughout the stay.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance, and in professional development.

  This is a safety-sensitive position requiring ability to work in a state of alertness and in a safe manner.

• Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing

Role provides direct patient care responsibilities after completing a nursing program and before licensure. Licensure must be obtained within 90 days of graduation from an accredited nursing program to remain employed in a Missouri facility.
