Infection Control/Wound Care Nurse

Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control practices to protect residents, staff, and visitors. This role promotes a safe healthcare environment by identifying infection risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading infection prevention initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing primary skincare to residents
• Identifying, managing, and treating specific skin disorders, primary and secondary lesions, and decubitus ulcers
• Participating in the development and implementation of patient care plans
• Educating family, staff, and residents about the importance of nutrition, skin barriers, hydration, turning, and repositioning to promote wound healing

Preferred qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of Illinois
• Understanding of infection prevention principles and regulations
• Excellent communication and education skills
• Professional experience as an infection control nurse
