Full-time, permanent, UK field‑based with regular travel

About the role

At MSL Global, we deliver exceptional experiential brand activations for some of the world’s most recognisable brands. As part of our continued growth, we’re recruiting for a Business Development Manager (New Business) - a newly created role focused on driving outbound sales activity and opening new opportunities for the agency.

The Business Development Manager will take full ownership of our outbound new business function, proactively identifying and engaging high-value corporate brands and agencies. You’ll lead initial outreach, deliver credentials presentations, secure discovery meetings, and hand over confirmed opportunities to our Client Services and delivery teams.

This is a pure hunter role, suited to someone who thrives on generating their own leads, breaking into cold accounts, and building early‑stage client relationships. The role is field‑based, with regular travel to client meetings and industry events, and visits to our Alton headquarters as and when required.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead outbound prospecting across phone, email, Linked In, and networking.
  • Generate new business appointments through proactive multi‑channel outreach.
  • Research and map key decision‑makers within target sectors.
  • Deliver credentials presentations to prospective corporate brands and agencies.
  • Lead discovery meetings and capture accurate client requirements, responding to RFPs and pitches.
  • Brief internal teams and hand over opportunities once secured.
  • Maintain a structured CRM pipeline with accurate tracking and forecasting.
  • Report on outbound activity and pipeline progression.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Client Services, Creative, and Finance.
What are we looking for:
  • Proven experience in a dedicated B2B hunter‑style sales role.
  • Demonstrable ability to generate your own appointments without inbound support.
  • Strong experience researching markets and identifying decision‑makers.
  • Confident delivering credentials presentations and early‑stage sales conversations.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint/Keynote and proposal deck creation.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to take accurate client briefs.
  • Highly proficient with CRM systems and sales enablement tools.
  • Resilient, proactive, and motivated by outbound activity.
  • Experience in experiential marketing, live events, brand activations, or creative agencies.
  • Existing network of corporate marketing or agency contacts.
  • Experience establishing a new outbound sales function.
Requirements:
  • This is a field‑based role requiring regular travel to client meetings, events, and networking opportunities. A full driving licence is essential.
  • Visits to our Alton headquarters will take place as and when required for collaboration and team alignment.
  • A strong interest in the events and experiential marketing industry - and ideally the automotive sector - is beneficial.
