  Purpose:
  
  To partner with LCC staff and congregation in multiplying practical faith. To bring specific ministry gifts to the LCC staff in the areas of kids and youth ministries.

  Qualifications

  • Disciple of Jesus Christ
  • Demonstrates the leadership characteristics set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-12 and Titus 1:6-9
  • Embraces LCC’s Mission & Core Values
  • Strong ministry gifts and passion for the teaching and discipleship of kids and youth
  • Committed to and experience with the Biblical design for ministry leaders to equip God’s people to do His work (Ephesians 4:11-13)
  • Leadership gifts of casting vision, recruiting, communication, and building up leaders

  Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, coaching, and training for the Kids Ministry Team and the Youth Ministry Team
  • Recruit, train, and empower Kids Small Group Leaders and Youth Small Group Leaders
  • Empower leaders and ensure all parts of Kids Hour and Youth Night are organized and Christ-centered, including the teaching.
  • Provide coaching for the Kids Coordinator
  • Prepare weekly Kids Hour curriculum
  • Lead Bible 101 and First Communion Classes
  • Lead Confirmation Ministry
  • Lead annual Youth Mission Trip and retreats
  • Be present at weekend worship to connect with families

  Line of Accountability

  • The supervisor for this position is the Discipleship Pastor
  • This position supervises the Kids Coordinator
  • This position coaches the Kids and Youth Ministry Teams

  Position Hours and Schedule

  • This position is full-time with benefits and requires a flexible schedule including working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
