Job Overview

The Data Center Logistics Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the activities and responsibilities of the Logistics team. This includes project planning/management, people management of large teams, inbound, outbound, deployment, and inventory control. The role also provides high‑level technical assistance to the team and ensures service and support are provided to customers at agreed levels, requiring prompt and concise communication with Service Delivery Leadership and Operations Management on a daily basis.

You Will Make An Impact
  • Work directly with the Team Manager and client FTEs to coordinate, prioritize, and maintain optimal service execution toward goals and KPI expectations
  • Observe and report on service execution of the team
  • Effectively manage direct reports including performance development, timecard management, review sessions, and more
  • Build and maintain a strong team culture
  • Effectively manage and delegate project tasks for optimal and timely performance
  • Properly communicate with client FTEs and cross‑functional partners regarding project and operational performances
  • Ability to pivot and redirect a team effectively while maintaining a positive, safety‑conscious culture
  • Report trends and observations, actively participate, and lead root‑cause analysis to resolve issues
  • Demonstrate a mindset of continuous improvement regarding operations and training
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and provide optimal service execution
  • Lead and drive special projects with a sense of urgency and ensure the results meet the agreed quality level
What You Need To Succeed
  • Minimum of 2 years leading a large team
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Experience interfacing with upper management is required
  • Successful project management experience and strong attention to detail
  • Strong ability to adapt and pivot
  • Ability to establish strong relationships
  • Strong computer skills (Inventory Systems, Google Products, Data Analysis)
  • Excellent task management and verbal/written communication skills
  • Loves working in a team‑oriented environment and is highly motivated to provide a positive user experience
  • Open and transparent about weaknesses and strengths
  • Independent critical and creative thinking
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, demanding environment, under immense pressure
  • Comfortable leading large teams and providing both positive and negative feedback
Preferred Skills
  • Minimum of five years of people management (25+ direct reports)
  • Project Management or Lean Six Sigma certifications
  • Human Resources experience is a plus
