Adventureland Park - Retail Attendant

Welcome to Herschend’s Adventure land Park! We are looking for a Retail Attendant aged 14 or older to provide excellent customer service and support the retail experience for our guests.

• Welcome and greet all guests with a smile as they enter retail locations.
• Initiate conversations with guests and assist with any questions about merchandise or souvenirs.
• Maintain a general knowledge of all available merchandise to answer guest questions.
• Use suggestive selling or upselling techniques to increase revenue.
• Resolve guest concerns courteously and promptly.
• Communicate potential issues or complaints to retail or park leadership as needed.
• Operate all point-of-sale (POS) equipment accurately to complete purchases.
• Ensure merchandise is well-stocked, organized, and presentable.
• Refold or rehang clothing items as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe retail environment, removing tripping hazards or other threats.
• Operate mobile retail carts when applicable.
• Perform additional duties assigned by leadership.

• No formal education required. Previous work experience is not required.
• Age 14 or older (Iowa child labor laws).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to and from scheduled shifts.
• Compliance with uniform policies.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve questions, problems, and concerns professionally.
• Positive engagement with guests to promote sales and satisfaction.
• Previous experience with POS technology and PCI compliance is a plus.
• Ability to follow direction, multitask, and work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of English;
  Spanish or other bilingual skills are a plus.

• Stand, walk, and remain on feet for the majority of the workday.
• Frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders.
• Carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects up to 30 pounds.

• Retail location in Adventure land Park, indoor or outdoor environments.
• Exposure to variable outside temperatures, sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, or ice.
• Some exposure to dust and chemical cleaning agents.
