Security Agent – Adventure land Park

Responsibilities- Enforce all park rules and regulations.
- Monitor park assets to ensure the safety of all guests and hosts.
- Maintain constant vigilance during operating hours to identify potential issues or safety concerns.
- Communicate potential issues to other departments and/or leadership in a timely manner.
- Conduct bag checks to prevent prohibited items from entering the park.
- Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor guest safety and report conflicts to supervisors on duty.
- Take control of emergency and intense situations while remaining calm.
- Manage crowd control during emergency situations professionally.
- Continuously monitor guest behaviors and curtail potential situations before they increase.
- Exercise clear and concise communication with all park departments.
- Answer phone calls and provide pleasant, helpful assistance for staff and the public.
- Assist in safety prevention efforts, including responding to safety calls, fire alarms, and emergencies.
- Utilize electronic card access, closed‑circuit television, and other audio/visual monitoring systems to supervise all reports or irregular conditions.
- Perform all additional duties assigned by leadership.
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. One year of previous security or related experience is highly desired.
Requirements- Minimum age 18 years, in compliance with Iowa Child Labor Laws.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to work third shift (overnight) if the park security operates on a 24‑hour schedule.
- Reliable transportation to and from scheduled shift.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to operate motorized vehicles and equipment safely.
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Apply knowledge of security methods, procedures, interviewing, listening, and note‑taking techniques for specific situations.
- Deal fairly, objectively, and courteously with the public regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or political beliefs.
- Analyze people or situations quickly and calmly, taking appropriate actions promptly.
- Operate electronic equipment such as cameras, radios, personal computers, or other communication devices.
- Maintain composure in stressful or tense situations.
- Collaborate with hosts, external first responders, and emergency personnel during emergencies.
- Exceptional customer service skills to resolve questions, problems, and concerns professionally.
- Maintain required certifications as assigned.
- Stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday.
- Occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders.
- Walk, stand, or run on uneven surfaces.
- Resist prolonged sedentary periods while using computer or camera equipment.
- Carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more.
- Good visual acuity, night vision, and peripheral vision.
- See details of objects that are more than a few feet away.
- Primarily based in both office settings and frequent exposure to indoor and outdoor park environments.
- Variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions.
- Work in dark environments, particularly during midnight shift.
- Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environments.
- Frequent interruptions or requests that may require reprioritization of activities.
- Flexible schedule.
