Overview
Immediate opening for a Full-time or Part-time Loss Prevention Officer in Altoona, IA.
Responsibilities- Identify shoplifters through floor patrol and through the use of Closed Circuit TV
- Report writing
- Interact with local law enforcement agencies as needed
- Provide courtroom testimony as required
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
- Location:
Altoona, IA - Full-time / 30-40 hours per week
- Part-Time / 20-29 hours per week
- Pay: $22.00 per hour
- Health Insurance / 401k available to full-time employees
- Paid Time Off
- Pre-Employment criminal background and drug screen
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
- Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports
- Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
- Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
- Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated
- Previous loss prevention experience a plus, but not a requirement
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
- Criminal Justice or related studies a plus
