Cost Accountant Temp

We are staffing for 2 temps (that can be available for a minimum of 2-3 months), looking for local candidates to Tipton, PA. One for Cost Accounting and one for Inventory Control

Needs to be someone with at least 2 years of experience in cost accounting and inventory control

Typically cost accounting is strictly manufacturing tasks. There’s a whole separate accounting team for this department.

We are staffing for two temps, looking for someone reliable and precise with numbers. Our client is in manufacturing, and the work will be in inventory control and cost accounting in the manufacturing department. The candidate will respond to internal and external customer requests, work with a sense of urgency, and be capable of making decisions efficiently and effectively. Work will be performed under the direct supervision of the Cost Accountant Manager.

• Data analysis and resolutions
• Monthly inventory reconciliations and physical counts
• Assist with monthly reporting: scrap, muv, maintenance, variance
• Assist, compile data, and develop reports for daily Management KPIs as required
• Lead and assist with month end closing preparations and tasks
• Lead and manage special manufacturing projects and other various accounting/inventory control operational duties on an as‑needed basis
• Provide backup administration for Cost Accounting Manager when needed
• Navigate through different systems throughout the day
• All other duties as assigned
• Adhere to company’s Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational abilities
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast‑paced environment
• Personable, eager and adaptable
• Ability to work and communicate effectively, both orally and written, with department leaders and peers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office, Word, and Excel
• Local travel required. This position works at multiple locations within Blair County on a regular basis. Valid license and reliable transportation required
• Work is completed in an office setting typically however this position also works on the manufacturing floor at different facilities while completing special projects on a regular basis. Must be flexible/adaptable to work in both settings

Will work in 3-4 different locations locally. Will have to pass a background check and drug testing.
