At Leonard S. Fiore, we are known for our diverse range of projects including state-of-the-art medical facilities, college residence halls, high-rise apartment complexes, retail centers, and more! Our preconstruction services are growing rapidly, and we are adding positions to support our needs. The Director of Preconstruction is a senior leadership position responsible for leading our preconstruction team and developing the company’s overall preconstruction function.

This role guides clients from initial concept through the final contract. We are searching for an experienced and dynamic individual to oversee our preconstruction team, process, and projects.

• Represent LSF at industry events, business functions, client meetings, and other opportunities to promote the company in new and existing markets.
• Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients and other industry partners.
• Assist company executives in researching potential markets, clients, and opportunities to help identify and prioritize pursuit targets.
• Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to the Preconstruction team, establishing clear expectations, priorities, responsibilities, and performance standards.
• Plan and allocate Preconstruction resources to effectively support the company’s current and anticipated project workload.
• Mentor, coach, and develop Preconstruction team members to strengthen technical capabilities, leadership skills, and career progression.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including the implementation and effective use of technology, estimating tools, processes, and systems.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and other departments to align preconstruction activities with company strategy and operational objectives.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Coordination and management of all preconstruction activities and team members. Serving as key contact during preconstruction phase.
• Development and continued maintenance of preconstruction schedule to coordinate and keep on task all stakeholders including client, architect, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and LSF team members.
• Prepare, oversee, and manage technical RFP responses, proposals, presentations, and interviews.
• Prepare, oversee, and/or manage project preconstruction documents, including overall project schedules, site logistics plans, phasing plans, procurement strategies, and permitting requirements.
• Provide and/or coordinate constructability and analysis of construction documents.
• Identify potential project risks, scope gaps, design issues, schedule constraints, and opportunities during the preconstruction process.
