Position: Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist – General, OB, Pediatrics (Anesthesia locum tenens)
Location:

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (July 1, 2026 – September 30, 2026)
Shifts per Week: 3 shifts per week
Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (6:30am–3:30pm); occasional late shifts until 5:30pm or 7:30pm as needed
Call Coverage: In-house overnight and weekend call required (up to six 12-hour overnight in-house call shifts per month)
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $11,890–$12,530
Setting: Hospital-based anesthesia coverage with optional cases at a nearby ambulatory surgery center
Job Requirements
MD or DO degree required
Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist (within 3 years of residency)
Minimum 1 year clinical anesthesiology experience; comfortable with general anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, and pediatric anesthesia cases
Willingness to take in-house overnight and weekend call shifts (up to six 12-hour overnight calls per month)
Active Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility;
Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) letter highly preferred (licensing assistance considered)
NPDB self-query required at time of application
Responsibilities
Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative and anesthesia care for adult, obstetric, and pediatric patients in a hospital setting
Perform pre-operative assessments, intraoperative anesthetic management, and post-anesthesia care with attention to patient safety and outcomes
Provide hands-on clinical anesthesia and supervisory oversight within the anesthesia care team
Manage advanced airway and life support during perioperative and emergent events
Collaborate with surgeons, obstetricians, pediatricians, nursing, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated patient care
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) consistent with hospital policies
Optionally provide anesthesia coverage at a nearby ambulatory surgery center as needed
