POSITION AVAILABLE:

Adult Education English Second Language (ESL) Daytime Instructor
Part-Time | 12-Month Position | Up to 25 Hours/Week
Must be available to work Tuesday-Friday (8:30 AM-3:30 PM)

Responsible for preparing instruction and teaching English language skills to non-native speakers enrolled in the AASD Adult Education Program, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening;
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the English Language Proficiency Standards and College & Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education.

Position and hours are contingent upon federal/state funding

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
Experience in teaching Reading-Language Arts, English, or ESL preferred
Strong English language and interpersonal skills; organizational skills

REFERENCES
References should include superintendents, principals or professors who have first-hand knowledge of your professional competence and your personal qualifications. Experienced teachers should include the superintendent and principal of the two most recent schools in which employed. If any person(s) listed should not be contacted for reference at the present time, indicate in the comments section of this application.
Conditions of Employment

Do you/will you have a valid PA teaching certificate, or are you qualified to obtain an Emergency Certificate for employment?

Are you a U.S. citizen, or do you have a VISA that permits you to work in the U.S.?

Please be advised, if you are considered for employment, you will be required to have current clearances on file (within one year); in accordance with Act 153 of 2014, once you are an active employee you will be required to renew all three (3) clearances every 60 months, this will be a condition of continued employment.
