Social Studies Instructor

AASD is seeking a qualified candidate for a Social Studies Instructor position dedicated to developing in each pupil the essential skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing that support effective communication and literate citizenship. The ideal candidate will foster an appreciation of social studies, encourage students to read widely for both information and enjoyment, and help them build critical judgment skills for evaluating written and oral communication, including mass media.

This role involves identifying and nurturing students' talents in social studies through strong knowledge of language development, instructional media, evaluation, and research. The candidate should demonstrate pedagogical expertise in planning, delivering, and assessing instruction, including the integration of emerging technologies, while promoting positive student relationships, adaptability, and professionalism. Effective classroom management and a commitment to continuous professional growth are essential.
