Senior Transportation (Roadway Design) Manager

ATCS is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our team as Senior Highway Project Manager in Pennsylvania. This is an exciting opportunity to support a rapidly growing bridge practice in Pennsylvania. The individual will perform a variety of engineering tasks related to PennDOT, PA Turnpike, and various municipal roadway design projects. The diversity of responsibilities requires a flexible mindset and cooperative, team-oriented attitude with progressively increasing leadership and management capabilities and opportunities.

This position can be based out of the ATCS Camp Hill or Altoona offices with hybrid flexibility.

Duties And Responsibilities

Project design, task management, client contact, and quality control.

Development of roadway construction documents, including roadway plans, profiles, typical sections, maintenance of traffic plans, cost estimating, and planning.

Preparing reports and studies.

Participating in public meetings.

Directing and reviewing roadway infrastructure designs based on AASHTO, PennDOT, and local municipality requirements.

Coordinating with contractors, utility companies, and government agencies.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineer’s license in PA is required.
Micro Station ORD experience is preferred.
Familiarity with AASHTO, PennDOT, and regional design standards, practices, and policies.
Experience with PennDOT/PA Turnpike Highway Project Management.

Our employees are the most critical part of ATCS. We offer a competitive salary range of $89,100 to $133,650 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, targeted at 2% of the annual salary.
