Retail Loan Operations Specialist

Reliance Savings Bank seeks a Retail Loan Operations Specialist I to support consumer loan processing and servicing. In this role, you will prepare and verify loan documentation, board and maintain loans on our core system, track collateral and insurance, and ensure files meet regulatory and bank policy requirements. You will work closely with branch staff and lenders to resolve discrepancies, respond to customer inquiries, and support audits and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify retail loan applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Board new loans and maintenance changes into the core banking system
• Monitor collateral, insurance, and tickler items to ensure ongoing compliance
• Maintain organized, audit-ready digital and physical loan files
• Support internal and external audits with reports and documentation
• Research and resolve loan discrepancies, payment issues, and system errors
• Respond to branch and customer inquiries regarding loan status and servicing
• Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, and applicable lending regulations
• Prepare routine reports on loan activity, exceptions, and outstanding items
• Collaborate with lenders and branch staff to support excellent customer service
