Retail Loan Processor​/Underwriter I

Reliance Savings Bank seeks a Retail Loan Processor/Underwriter I to support consumer lending for our community-focused bank. In this role, you will review retail loan applications, gather and verify documentation, analyze credit reports, income, and collateral, and make sound underwriting recommendations within established guidelines. You'll ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely decisions while communicating clearly with customers, loan officers, and branch teams.

Responsibilities

• Process retail loan applications from intake through closing, ensuring complete and accurate documentation
• Underwrite consumer loans within established policies, procedures, and delegated authority limits
• Analyze credit reports, income, assets, and collateral to assess borrower risk and repayment capacity
• Ensure compliance with federal and state consumer lending regulations and internal bank policies
• Communicate decisions, conditions, and documentation needs to loan officers, branches, and customers
• Track loan files, follow up on outstanding items, and meet service-level and turnaround time expectations
• Collaborate with branch and lending teams to support community-focused, relationship-based service
• Maintain accurate records in the loan origination system and support audit and quality review processes
