RN Staff Nurse (Nights) – Acute Dialysis

Shifts:

7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (36 hours per week) with rotation, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Union position:

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive starting pay with an additional $2 shift differential.
  • Rates: $35.50 per hour (BSN), $34.00 per hour (non‑BSN).
  • Sign‑On Bonus up to $15,000 for eligible candidates who commit to a two‑year work agreement.
  • Tuition Assistance and Loan Repayment: up to $15,000 over three years.
  • Additional $2 per hour for night program hours after 6 months of experience and completion of orientation.
Purpose & Responsibilities Patient Care
  • Provide direct care using nursing protocols, administer medications, and IV therapy.
  • Assess and re‑assess patients every eight hours or as needed; document needs.
  • Develop care plans with patients and families, coordinate with community agencies.
Coordination and Communication
  • Engage in team discussions and develop patient care plans.
  • Use Bed Management System, Alpha, CPOE and other systems.
Education and Leadership
  • Provide health teaching to patients and families.
  • Contribute to education of staff and students; consult and lead.
Safety and Compliance
  • Follow universal precautions and occupational exposure policies.
  • Complete annual competency validation for point‑of‑care testing.
Experience Required
  • No required experience; dialysis experience preferred.
Education and Formal Training
  • Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania (or compatible multistate license).
  • Complete Nursing Department orientation and probationary period.
  • ACLS preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances
  • CPR required within 30 days of hire.
  • BLS or CPR.
  • Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Act 34 compliance.
  • Current licensure in state or multistate NLC license; compliance notes for out‑of‑state license holders.
