We are looking for a skilled and physically capable Carpenter with commercial construction experience, OSHA 10 certification preferred, and strong expertise in fundamental carpentry techniques to join our team full-time team in Altoona, PA.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Measure, cut, fabricate, and install trim, panels, doors, cabinetry, casework, and custom architectural woodwork according to commercial project specifications.

* Work with specialty woods, composite materials, and fire-rated products common in commercial environments while maintaining quality standards.

* Interpret and execute commercial blueprints, architectural drawings, and project documentation.

* Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades (electricians, HVAC, drywall, etc.) to maintain schedules and resolve on-site challenges.

* Ensure installations comply with building codes, ADA standards, fire safety regulations, and client durability and finish expectations.

* Repair, replace, and upgrade existing woodwork in occupied or operational commercial spaces with minimal disruption.

* Conduct site assessments, prepare take-offs, and assist with pre-installation planning as needed.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Minimum of one year of related experience performing carpentry related tasks

* High school diploma or equivalent; formal training or apprenticeship in carpentry strongly preferred

* Current OSHA 10-hour certification preferred

* Can safely lift up to 60 pounds, climb ladders, stairs, and climb out of ditches

* Must wear proper protective equipment at all times

Knowledge and Skills

* Advanced knowledge of finish carpentry techniques and commercial construction standards

* Excellent troubleshooting, adaptation, and quality control skills for complex, fast-paced projects

* Proficient with hand and power tools

* Strong understanding of commercial construction documents (blueprints, specs, submittals)
