ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Supervise and direct nursing department through clear communication and accountability
  • Monitor overall clinical status of residents
  • Provide staff education through monthly meetings, rounding, and hallway coaching
  • Leadership rotation duties shared with other leadership team members
  • Attend care conferences and nutrition and hydration meetings frequently
  • Assist in identifying performance improvement activities
  • Must work closely with all team members to provide high quality care
  • Be prepared to work the floor if needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Push/pull medication carts up to 300 pounds occasionally
  • Twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, walk, and stand frequently
  • Able to communicate orally and/or in writing with residents, co-workers, families, and the public
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have an active RN license in the state of Wisconsin.
  • BSN preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must possess leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
  • Follow/adhere to organization, federal/state regulations and guidelines, including resident/client rights, standard precautions, fire safety, and first aid
