KC-Pilot Instructor

Responsibilities

• Provide KC-135 Aircraft Systems and operational procedures instruction in aircraft, classroom, simulator and practical environments.
• Assist as Subject Matter Expert in development of curriculum for new type courses.
• Provide additional special services such as courseware review and other administrative duties (publications, safety, quality audits, FCIF, scheduling, etc.).
• Provide KC-135 Pilot procedures instruction in aircraft, classroom, simulator, or other platform.
• Provide training for Visual Threat Recognition Avoidance Training (VTRAT).
• Provide Crew Resource Management (CRM) training.
• Act as Lesson Subject Matter Expert to review existing lessons and/or changes.
• Suggest improvements and updates to training policies and procedures.
• Promote a positive attitude toward learning and new technologies.
• Conduct ground training for crew members, including diagnosis and remediation of issues.
• Assist in project and development work as assigned.
• Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, record keeping, monitoring student progress, counseling, QA, safety, security, and maintenance of training programs and equipment.
• Meet physical requirements: be able to enter simulator, stand in simulator and classrooms up to six hours; maintain proficiency in essential devices, instrument, take‑off, landing, and emergency procedures.

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• 18 years total flying experience, including five years military; at least two years as KC‑135 Pilot flight instructor and training management experience.
• Recent experience as KC‑135 Instructor Pilot or Evaluator Pilot.
• Completion of a formal USAF Instructor training course.
• Strong facilitation and data analysis skills.
• Ability to participate in periodic aircraft familiarization flights.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, overtime, and any shift or day of the week.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Eligibility for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
• U.S. Citizen required due to contract requirements.

• Comply with all company security and data protection policies.
• Properly mark and handle all information and materials.
• Do not divulge information outside the company without management approval.
• Store government and proprietary information electronically on company‑provided resources.

• Walk and/or climb stairs and ladders to enter simulators or cockpits.
• Stoop, bend, and crawl on or under machinery.
• Detect odors or noises indicating potential problems in simulators and surroundings.
