- The duties of this position require the employee to operate a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required.
- The incumbent may be required to perform work during irregular hours.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications Conditions of Employment Continued:
This position is designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force civilian drug testing program. As a mandatory requirement for employment in this TDP, the incumbent is to (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if required, submit to urinalysis testing. The selectee must sign statements acknowledging the position is identified as a TDP.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative, series 2102 SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of transportation regulations that relate to the movement of a wide range of specialized shipments. For example, this includes knowledge in applying analytical and evaluative techniques needed to identify, consider, and resolve issues and problems of a procedural or factual nature.
Knowledge to analyze and develop new or modified guidelines and procedures and make recommendations concerning vehicle resources, vehicle safety, and vehicle training. Knowledge of established management principles, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines that affect the use and managerial control of vehicle resources. Knowledge of fact-finding techniques to conduct studies related to vehicle control and user training. Skill in preparing various reports and organizing and delivering briefings to managers to encourage understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.
Knowledge of a wide variety of vehicle inspection concepts, guidelines, practices, and governing directives to interpret and apply policy originating from higher organizational levels, develop into local policy, and implement instructions for unite personnel. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- knowledge of practical techniques of management analysis.
- Skill in written and oral presentation.
- Ability to modify/improve standard work center practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of related vehicle programs, policies, and safety practices.
- Knowledge of AF computer systems to create management reports.
- Skill in interpreting a variety of technical data, message traffic, operational directives, and equipment manuals.
