Job Duties
- Assists in analysis, modification and design of reservoir description tools and their associated assembly and testing procedures for assigned projects which requires working knowledge of materials, components, and their applications.
- Prepares design calculations and specifications.
- Develops test procedures, conducts tests and completes test result analysis for assigned projects.
- Assists in handling field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services.
- Incorporates Reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process.
Qualifications
- Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Tech Prof-Mfg-related occupation.
- Experience with analysis, modification and design of critical tools such as reservoir description tools that assist in wireline logging operations for formation evaluation.
- Experience with soldering, wiring and mechanical assembly with the ability to use both low and high-temp solder for precision soldering, including soldering on printed circuit boards and soldering wires etc.
- Experience interpreting, modifying and creating mechanical drawings and mechanical procedures that align with the drawings.
- Experience conducting qualifying tests such as pressure, temperature, mechanical/electronic functionality, writing test procedures and designing test set-ups suitable for both surface testing and high-temp, high-pressure testing.
- Experience using reliability, HSE and quality techniques during the design process.
- Experience handling field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services as well as assisting with troubleshooting downhole tool failures.
