Primary

Purpose:

Evaluate and provide leadership for the instructional program of the district. Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of aligned curriculum and instructional services to support teaching and learning.

Provide leadership and direction including but not limited to lead teachers, advanced academics, fine arts, physical education, and foreign language.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Master's degree in educational administration/curriculum and instruction.

Doctorate Preferred.

Texas mid-management or other appropriate Texas certificate.

Certified instructional supervisor and appraiser in T-TESS and Administrative Appraisal System.

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

Knowledge of K-12 curriculum and instruction.

Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness.

Ability to manage budget and personnel.

Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) and deliver persuasive presentations to individuals and groups.

Ability to organize and set priorities to manage workload and complete projects in a timely manner.

Proficient use of technology.

Experience:

Five years' successful experience as a classroom teacher.

Demonstrated successful experience in instructional leadership roles.

Five years' administrative experience at the campus and/or district level.

Salary: AP PG 13 / 12 Months
