Position: Part Time  Site Manager-Premier Academy After-School Program

CIS-Premier Academy Site Manager

Implements, coordinates, manages, and reports the day-to-day operations of the after-school program activities in the assigned Premier Academy. Responsible for student recruitment, retention, and reporting. Works closely with the Director, center staff, school staff, parents/families, contractors, and the students to achieve program goals and objectives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ensure program activities promote the health, safety, and general well-being of participants and provide high-quality educational development opportunities. Provide guidance and positive role modeling to participants.

Develop and plan relevant program curricula in accordance with Premier Academy standards. Coordinate the implementation of community-based activities with "hands-on" site management.

Ensure quality improvement by monitoring and evaluating program achievement against target goals, recommending modifications that respond to participants' needs and interests, and reporting to the Director.

Provide direct supervision and management to the staff of activity coordinators, including training, coaching, and evaluating.

Review and adhere to the school district and campus rules, policies, and procedures, including the campus crisis plan, protocol for reporting abuse, and other pertinent requirements.

Establish and maintain positive communications with the parents, including parent meetings and written announcements as needed.

Maintain an inventory of all program equipment and supplies in good order. Recommend repair and/or purchase within budgetary constraints.

Confidentially maintain participant information, attendance, and academic progress in student files and spreadsheets; submit paperwork in a timely manner; and prepare accurate statistical reports by deadline dates.

Participate in the overall function of the PA project by attending meetings, working on team projects, and attending training and events.

Provide direct service to students, including educational and enrichment activities.

May lead, guide, and train staff, tutors, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in recruiting volunteers and tutors. Ensure intake and dismissal procedures are adhered to.

Skills/Knowledge

Required:
  • Associate degree or three years of equivalent experience in childcare, education, or a human service field.
  • Willingness to maintain the standards, carry out the purpose, and adhere to Communities In Schools (CIS) policies.
  • A strong commitment to the mission of CIS and the value of after-school programs in students' academic success.
  • Must be flexible, a self-starter, and a team player.
  • Mature judgment to take initiative where appropriate, to recognize and handle confidential matters in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate human relations skills. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse staff, ISD administrators, and teachers; provide guidance and support to diverse staff.
  • Ability to develop, engage, and manage a team.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and implement multi-faceted workload; effectively identify, analyze, and solve problems; and successfully resolve conflict.
  • Demonstrate communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability with computers and MS Office software, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with and establish positive relationships with diverse populations of children and parents in a school setting.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and as a member of a team.
  • Means of self-transportation during the workday; proof of meeting Texas requirements regarding auto registration, driver's license, and auto liability insurance.
  • Willingness to attend evening and weekend events.
Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office and school campus environment. Work also involves sitting at a computer and being on the phone for extended periods. Tight deadlines and adherence to timelines require the incumbent in this classification to work flexible hours. Some travel throughout the districts is required. Occasional lifting of equipment used in training workshops that may weigh up to 30 pounds is required.
