Color Guard And Winter Guard Instructor
Primary
Purpose:
Provide instruction and coach students to develop skills and ability to excel in color Guard and Winter Guard. Contribute to education program as a whole and to growth of students involved in Color Guard and Winter Guard programs.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, plus:
Two years of study at an institution of higher education totaling 48 hours, or Associates Degree, or Passing score on the "Paraprofessional Assessment of Competencies" exam, to be administered by Alvin ISD (
Note:
the above criteria must be met before your application can be considered for this position and if you are selected for an interview, transcripts showing your degree or college hours should be presented at that time) Valid Texas Education Aide Certificate (obtainable through Alvin ISD when hired)
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Dance Training Color Guard Training Basic Computer skills Able to read or understand music Understanding of UIL rules and regulations
Experience:
3 years Color Guard Teaching at minimum Texas Color Guard Circuit and Winter Guard International experience Drum Corps International experience (teaching or performance) Bands of America experience
Salary:
Inst Support PG 3 / 198 days Starting: $25,186
