Pride Staff is working with a local manufacturing facility in search of a Tooling Design Engineer. The Tooling Design Engineer will serve as a press brake and tooling design expert as you design, review, create a template and execute each product with accuracy and efficiency using industry lead software such as STP, SLDW, DXF files and Adobe Reader. The ideal Tooling Design Engineer has previous experience as a Tooling Design Engineer designing, and seeing a product through to completion with knowledge of STP files, SLDW files, DXF files as well as Adobe Reader.
The Tooling Design Engineer is a full-time, direct hire position in Alvin, TX.
- Serve as a Press Brake & Tooling Design Expert, Supporting Both Internal Manufacturing Teams & External Customers
- Design, Specify, & Support Press Brake Tooling Setups For a Wide Variety of Forming Applications
- Ensure Accurate Setup, Proper Safety Factors, & Optimal Tooling Performance
- Collaborate Closely With Customers & Manufacturing Teams to Deliver Practical, High-Quality Solutions
- Read, Interpret, & Apply Engineering Drawings, Ensuring Adherence to Tolerances, Legends, Materials, & Material Behavior
- Apply Strong Knowledge of Dimensional Analysis to Validate Designs & Forming Strategies
- Support Continuous Improvement & Troubleshooting Efforts on The Shop Floor
- Follow All PPE & Safety Guidelines
Job Requirements & Working Conditions
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- 5+ Years of Press Brake Tooling & Forming Experience Required
- Solid Knowledge of Press Brake Tooling Design & Application, Setting up & Forming Processes, Safety Factors & Best Practices
- Experience With Dimensional Analysis Software, STP Files, SLDW Files (Solid Works), DXF Files & Adobe Reader
- Proven Ability to Work From & Interpret Engineered Drawings
- Previous Experience With Quoting & Customer Technical Support
- Solid Understanding of Tolerances, Legends & Materials Including Material Properties
- Must be 18+ Years Old
- Must be Willing to Submit to a Pre-Employment Background Check
- Must be Willing to Submit to a Drug Screen
- Must be Able to Provide Proof of Eligibility to Work in The U.S.
