As a Behavioral Health Therapist

What You’ll Do & Bring

As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will provide clinical care, counseling, and coordination of services to support patients’ behavioral health needs within a collaborative care environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct behavioral health assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Gather patient histories through interviews with patients and families
  • Provide individual, couples, family, group, and crisis counseling services
  • Support wellness management and coordinate referrals for specialized care when needed
  • Collaborate with providers, psychiatrists, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Educate patients on behavioral health conditions and health-promoting activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all patient interactions
  • Manage follow-up care and ensure timely communication with patients
  • Support integrated care coordination across behavioral health, primary care, and community resources
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within scope
What You Bring:
  • Active and unrestricted Texas license as an LCSW or LPC
  • Ability to practice independently
  • Eligibility for Medicare/Medicaid provider participation
  • At least one year of clinical experience in area of practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations and complex patient needs
  • Strong collaboration and care coordination skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and positive patient outcomes
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of public health principles and integrated care models
  • Experience working with substance use disorders (SUD)
  • Five years of clinical experience
