Substitute Nurse

Provide health services to students in the absence of the regular campus nurse. Support student success by promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of students, staff, and the school community.

Qualifications:

• Education/Certification:
  
  Valid Registered Nurse (RN) License or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) License. Valid CPR Certification.
• Special Knowledge/
  
  Skills:
  
  Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Practical knowledge of nursing procedures and techniques relevant to children. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while following district policies and procedures.
• Experience:
  
  School nursing experience preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and first aid to students.
• Administer medications and treatments according to district policies.
• Maintain accurate student health records and report concerns as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration.
• Consult with Lead Nurses or other campus nurses for support and guidance as necessary.

Pay: $125 per day (RN or LVN)
