Primary Purpose
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose engines found on maintenance and lawn equipment such astractors, mowers, weed eaters, blowers and edgers.
- Perform routine engine maintenance on related components in Maintenance and Grounds department.
- Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts.
- Repair or replace worn, broken or defective parts.
- Remove and reinstall mechanical and electrical components as needed.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in repairing and maintaining various types of small engines.
- Maintain records, test results, work performed as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas State Driver’s License
- Adept to using hand tools and computer diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Skilled in operating equipment and vehicles as they relate to the job.
- Able to lift at least 45lbs.
- Capable of multi-tasking and is detailed oriented.
- 5 years in related Mechanic position.
Salary: AUX PG 7 / 261 days. Starting: $23.40/hour
