We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Controller to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing organization. This role will work closely with senior leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and oversee key accounting processes. The Assistant Controller will play an integral role in month-end close, financial statement preparation, team development, and process improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on accounting professional with strong technical skills, leadership experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilitie- Assist in overseeing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, cash management, and inventory-related accounting activities
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, and management reports
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies
- Assist with bank reconciliations, cash reporting, and treasury-related activities
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while promoting accountability and continuous improvement
- Coordinate audit preparation activities and serve as a liaison with external auditors during annual audits
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and enhanced internal controls
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts as needed
- Provide financial insights and reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considere
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilitie
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processe
- Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audit activitie
