Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Role

H & R Foods
, a Division of PAK Quality Foods
, is seeking an Accounting & Office Administrative Assistant to support accounting, customer service, and daily office operations. This role will assist with AP/AR functions, customer account maintenance, payment processing, recordkeeping, and professional communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

What You’ll Do

Assist with AP and AR processing, including invoice entry, matching, verification, and documentation.

Receive and process customer payments, including cash, checks, and electronic payments, and accurately record transactions.

Support customer account maintenance, payment follow-up, billing inquiries, and issue resolution.

Support month‑end activities, including data entry, reconciliations, and report preparation.

Maintain organized accounting, customer, and office records.

Support payment approval documentation and internal control procedures.

Assist with records and document preparation for audits or compliance reviews.

Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls professionally.

Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics teams to resolve invoice or delivery discrepancies.

Sort, distribute, and log mail, deliveries, invoices, and office documents.

Maintain confidentiality of financial, customer, personnel, and company‑sensitive information.

Provide backup support for administrative or accounting team members as needed.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.

Current college students pursuing a related degree are encouraged to apply.

2+ years of accounting, customer service, or office support experience preferred.

Experience with invoices, billing, payments, AP, AR, bookkeeping, or customer accounts is a plus.

Experience in food distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or a related industry is a plus.

Working knowledge of accounting principles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Professional phone, email, and customer service communication skills.

Dependable, professional, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
