The primary role for this position is to manage and be responsible for the daily operations of the MICRO Feed Ingredient ration record change process for both feedlot and dairy Micro Weigh System (MWS) customers by conversing with facility owners, managers as well as their consulting nutritionists and veterinarians. This position requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of medicated feeds including their proper use and inclusion into feed in order to meet FDA cGMP regulations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Manage daily operations of the Customer Cost Sheet / Ration Record System which requires constant judgement decisions in regards to medicated feed ingredient usage and implementation at the customer's location for both beef and dairy MWS customers.
- Conveys the technical information concerning drug levels for correctly programming the MWS to Micro's Sales/Service Representatives in order to implement ration change requests from consulting nutritionists and veterinarians.
- Responsible for the daily management of customer Feed Ingredient pricing schedules in the Ration Database.
- Consults with feed yard & dairy customers and their nutritionist / veterinarians to determine correct feeding levels for medicated feed ingredients.
- Provide and be able to explain Feed Ingredient Master Formulas to feed yards/dairies and their nutritionists/veterinarians.
- Coordinate & train other Feed Ingredient team members to review MWS Ration Print Outs for accuracy on a daily basis.
- Manage all micro ingredient product price changes to customers, for both USA and Canada, throughout the year.
- Responsible for reviewing for accuracy the drug level changes made by the Micro Serviceman and instructing them implementing corrections if needed.
- Manage & oversee Master Formula retention in Customer FDA Drug Files.
- Responsible for reviewing micro ingredient product pricing changes.
- Analyze for accuracy the customer FDA Drug File and provide updates as needed in order to assure compliance with Federal Laws.
- Oversee for accuracy all micro ingredient product Blue Bird labeling and provide to feed yards and dairy customers in order to meet with FDA requirements.
- Develops and Maintains a Feed Ingredient Product Technical database which requires a working knowledge of the feed ingredient products utilized in the beef & dairy industries.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree in animal science, animal nutrition, agriculture, or related field is preferred. An Associate's degree/Two years of college + Two (2) years of related work experience OR four (4) years of related work experience can be in place of a Bachelor's degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Proven customer service skills. Knowledge of the livestock animal health industry is preferred.
Two plus years of administrative support, including experience in accounting is required. Proven customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). High School diploma required. Knowledge of the livestock animal health industry preferred.
