Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage a high‑end data‑center security project in Amarillo, TX. The role involves structured cabling, low‑voltage intrusion and access control, and surveillance systems in a state‑of‑the‑art data‑center environment. The superintendent will deploy advanced Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) and high‑resolution VMS across mission‑critical environments, ensuring strict adherence to Method of Procedure (MOP), zero‑downtime protocols, and BICSI cable‑management standards.

You will provide daily scheduling of technicians, manage subcontractors, oversee project documentation, and act as the single point of contact for customers.

Responsibilities
  • Review project requirements and installation plans with the project team.
  • Schedule projects with customers and assign technical and asset resources.
  • Communicate with all internal and external project team members.
  • Review job packages for cost accuracy and modify job documentation.
  • Facilitate completion of change orders, both external and internal.
  • Work with Project Accountants to ensure proper billing and cost monitoring.
  • Maintain current job‑costing reports; administer corrective action if hours exceed budget.
  • Monitor and track material delivery for all assigned projects.
  • Schedule and conduct internal and external job kick‑off meetings.
  • Verify system installations adhere to best practices.
  • Supervise and mentor technicians, providing guidance to optimize performance.
  • Ensure technicians maintain appropriate appearance and conduct.
  • Facilitate staging of materials and ensure the team has proper tools.
  • Close out projects timely and obtain customer sign‑off.
  • Compile and deliver all final project deliverables.
  • Assist in client trainings.
  • Travel to sites as required.
  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify upsell opportunities.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in low‑voltage access control, intrusion, locking mechanisms, and surveillance.
  • Proven track record of completing projects within budget and schedule.
  • In‑depth knowledge of low‑voltage systems, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong computer troubleshooting skills.

Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop.
  • Hands used for handling, feeling objects, typing, reach, and talk/hardware operations.
  • Required to lift or move up to 50 pounds and work at heights over 1.8 m (6 ft).
  • Use of power tools may be required.
Working Conditions
  • Exposed to outdoor weather, job‑site travel, and occasional construction equipment.
  • Noise level usually moderate; confined‑space entry may be required.
  • Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license mandatory to operate company vehicle.
