Collision Estimator

Overview

Gerber Collision & Glass is part of The Boyd Group. We value teamwork, integrity, and growth. This role is located in Amarillo, TX and requires 1–4 years of related experience in estimation, accounting, or customer service, with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience during the vehicle repair process.

• Provide an exceptional and successful customer experience while creating estimates and coordinating repair needs for customers, including all communication with customers and insurance companies throughout the repair process.
• Accurately assess vehicle damage and document required repairs and parts on the damage appraisal.
• Ensure every customer interaction is documented, updated efficiently and accurately with pertinent details.
• Provide customers with accurate and timely information, guiding them through the repair process and delivering excellent service.
• Ensure compliance with all insurance client requirements, processes, and metrics.
• Ensure compliance with WOW Operating Ways regarding customer drop-offs, repair planning, customer communication, and delivery.
• Communicate all customer requests and needs to appropriate team members; participate in daily production walks with the Management Team as required.
• Support all team members when required and participate in monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings as needed.
• Attend training sessions and workshops recommended by the Store Manager.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; knowledge of repairs and OE guidelines.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience; awareness of where to look for answers; basic computer skills; DRP compliance.
• Valid Driver’s License; willingness to complete I-CAR Training.

• Understanding of repairs and OE guidelines; ability to access information and provide solutions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer operations and applicable software used in estimating and repair coordination.

Compensation Details:
Estimated $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commission-based. Compensation is commensurate with location, skill, education, and experience. Supplemental pay may include bonuses tied to performance.
