Position OverviewWe are seeking a Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager to support large-scale energy infrastructure projects, including combustion turbine and wind farm construction initiatives in Texas. This role will provide direct support to project leadership across scheduling, forecasting, materials coordination, reporting, documentation, and day-to-day construction operations.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting industrial construction, utility, refinery, power generation, or large infrastructure projects and must be comfortable working onsite in active construction environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple project stakeholders are essential.
These projects are high-visibility energy builds with budgets ranging from several hundred million to multi-billion dollars, offering exposure to complex utility-scale construction operations.
Key Responsibilities- Support Project Managers with daily project coordination activities
- Assist with project scheduling, forecasting, tracking, and reporting
- Coordinate with materials and procurement teams to support construction timelines
- Review and process project documentation, approvals, and project updates
- Maintain project records, collaborative documents, and reporting tools
- Help prepare project status reports, presentations, and meeting documentation
- Track project deliverables and support cost management activities
- Assist in validating project information and collecting field updates
- Coordinate with construction teams, engineering teams, and subcontractors
- Support onsite construction activities and help ensure project milestones remain on track
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- 3–7 years of project coordination, project management, engineering, or construction support experience
- Experience supporting industrial, utility, power generation, refinery, or large infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of construction project workflows and field operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work onsite in active construction environments
- Experience seeing projects from initiation through completion
- Utility-scale energy project experience
- Wind farm or combustion turbine project experience
- Previous hands-on field or onsite construction experience
- PMP certification preferred
- PE license is a plus
- Experience supporting large capital projects
- Per diem available for qualified candidates
- Final interview will be conducted onsite/in person
- This role is intended to augment and support senior project leadership across multiple active energy construction projects
- Their project background and hands‑on construction experience
- Projects they have supported from start to completion
- Scheduling, forecasting, and coordination experience
- Communication style and ability to work in fast‑paced field environments
- Experience supporting large industrial or utility construction efforts
